Central Region Resource Center

The Central Region Resource Center is located in the Huludun Branch of Taichung Public Library, and opened to the public on July 7, 2015. The Resource Center has a brand new and comfortable reading environment with an expert selection of books to establish a quality and diverse library collection. With convenient transportation and a central geographic location, the Central Region Resource Center provides a friendly and quality reading environment for readers in the city. Moreover, we encourage readers to read more and upgrade the public library that everyone loves.

The library collections are being established according to four major categories: Cultural and Creative, Multicultural, Knowledge, and Teenagers, which can be found on B1 in Library Building A and 3F in Building B. In the category Multicultural, including books written in Thai, Indonesian, Malay, Burmese, Laotian, Vietnamese, and Cambodian. All books are selected by National Central Library Book Selection Committee of the Ministry of Education. Quality domestic and foreign books are picked for new immigrants and people who love reading to borrow. We hope that through the promotion of reading, different ethnic groups in society can learn more about other groups and integrate. Besides, people can learn to appreciate different cultures and support, as well as tolerate, different cultures. Therefore, different ethnic groups can stand fairly in society. Taichung City can thus become a reading city of multicultural.
